What you need to know about this position:

  • This full-time, exempt role is responsible to lead and oversee 2 FTEs as direct reports and an additional approximate 20 FTEs as indirect reports within the service line.
  • This leader will report directly to the Vice President, System Finance & Business Planning, who reports to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
  • These responsibilities reflect operational and planning oversight for all financial services activities which include but aren’t limited to, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting, projecting/planning (both capital and operating), long range financial planning, fixed asset accounting, cost accounting, decision support, analysis of current operations, analysis of growth business plans.
  • It also includes responsibility for annual audits and reviews, ad hoc audits and reviews, tax reporting, cost reporting, and third-party reimbursement arrangements.
  • Direct oversight of this function manages an expense budget of approximately $2.0M annually.
  • Indirect oversight for the operations of the System, which has responsibility for expense performance of $448M annually.
  • Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The base compensation is one portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

What the successful candidate will bring to this position:

  • Certified Public Accountants license with seven to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) with ten to fifteen years’ related experience and/or training. Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience and familiarity with health care environment and health systems preferred. May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated personal computer skills in use of spreadsheet and word processing software required.
  • This position is eligible for partial remote/hybrid status consideration, allowing the leader to work from home for >50% of the time while also committing to work on-site in Columbus, IN as needed/requested by the organization.
