What you need to know about this position:

  • This full-time, exempt role reports directly to the Director – Provider Compensation and is responsible to lead and oversee 3 FTEs as direct reports with the department.
  • This position supports strategic provider workforce management including planning, monitoring, communicating, and analyzing for Columbus Regional Health.
  • Manages and oversees compensation system and calculations for employed and contracted Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (collectively referred to as “providers”). Ensures that providers are paid accurately, timely, within compliance of provider contracts, and within relevant organizational guidelines and regulations.
  • Oversees the collection and monthly reporting of provider production and compensation data. Directly supervises staff responsible for developing and maintaining associated calculations and systems. Assists the Director to be the primary points of contact for providers for questions and concerns related to their compensation. Analyzes data and prepares ad hoc presentations and recommendations in response to provider queries in a timely manner.
  • Organizes and conducts face-to-face meetings with all providers as needed per department policies and procedures. Some examples of meeting topics include but are not limited to production-based compensation model analysis for during and after guarantee periods, contract negotiation, changes in calculation or data methodology, compensation review results, etc.
  • Assists, directs, and prepares ad hoc analysis to provide the Director and Executive team with insight into physician staff (current and additional), efficiency and performance improvement initiatives, and other opportunities
  • The annualized salary range for this position is between $86,819 and $144,726. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. Salaried compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for this position.
  • This position is eligible for partial remote (work from home) status, allowing you to work virtually for > 50% of your work week. Some weeks may require more onsite time than others. This position has flexibility to set your daily scheduled work time (within reason) but is expected to be available/working daily Monday-Friday, during day shift/office hours.

What the successful candidate will bring to this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required
  • 5+ years of provider compensation experience required
  • 10+ years of healthcare industry experience preferred
  • 10+ years of general management experience preferred
  • Previous experience in provider negotiations preferred
  • Clinical operations or finance experience preferred
  • EPIC experience preferred
