Reporting to the Director of Surgical, Cardiovascular and Wound Center Services, this Nurse Manager position is part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team of leaders focused on achieving excellence in clinical, quality and operational performance.

This position provides oversite to a 3 room Pre-Admission Testing Department, 20 room Outpatient Preop/Phase II Recovery Department and a 15 bay PACU Department with approximately 40 total reporting FTEs. These departments support the CRH Operating Room which is a 13 suite, 24/7 department providing care to various specialties including Orthopedics, Vascular, General Surgery, OBGYN, Spine and Urology.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership of a work unit or department. In collaboration with the CNO and the DON, responsibilities include but are not limited to facilitating the development of unit's vision, mission, and annual goals and objectives in concert with the organization's vision, mission, values, strategic themes and goals and objectives.

The Nurse Manager has responsibility to fulfill the clinical requirements of the Registered Nurse job description (reference JD #32,33,34) as support to the function of the care unit.

The Nurse Manager is responsible/accountable for patient care activities within their assigned service area.

What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- BSN required of all Nurse Managers effective 12/31/2014.
- 3-5 years clinical experience appropriate to position and patient population.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current registered nurse licensure in state of Indiana required; Basic CPR required within 30 days of hire.
