What you need to know about this position:

  • Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director – System Patient Access and Clearance provides overall strategy and financial direction of patient services offered by Admitting, Pre-registration, Registration, Patient Estimates, Financial Counseling, Insurance Verification, Payor Authorizations, and Point of Service Collections for an integrated health system across the hospital and clinic network
  • Assembles and leads a high-performing team, deploying an exceptional customer-centric approach to the Revenue Cycle components, enabling Columbus Regional Health to achieve its overall strategic and financial goals
  • Drives transformation of the front-end revenue cycle operation by identifying and implementing technology to improve front-end patient experience and reduce cost
  • Identifies areas of variation across the system and implements controls to unify processes
  • Establishes necessary governance across hospital and clinic teams in an effort to drive best-practice and optimal revenue cycle management performance
  • Some things to know about the organization and position:
      • Single Billing Office
      • Responsible for around 30 employees, with one Manager and two Team Leads
      • Responsible for registration and scheduling for over 40 department
  • Remote work arrangements are considered

What is required for this position:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Healthcare, Business or related field experience required
  • 5 years of revenue cycle management experience at the system level, with experience in a variety of types of organizations and roles (ambulatory physician clinics, hospital outpatient clinics, hospital systems, etc.)
  • Experience with strategic, client centered development and implementation, including operating policies and procedures, and work process improvements required.
