What you need to know about this position:

  • A member of the clinical quality team, the Quality Programs Clinical Assistant will work with members to close quality gaps in care for all Columbus Regional Health Physician sites.
  • The role our Quality Clinical Assistant provides is to help close gaps in care, by providing retina vue exams in the offices as needed, and work with the Ambulatory Care Coordinators to assist in making Emergency Department calls as needed.
  • Our Quality Programs Clinical Assistant position has a base hourly rate of $15.00 that is commensurate with experience.
  • This position will require you to work a shift of 8:00AM – 4:30PM, Monday through Friday; 40 weekly hours.

What is required for this position:

  • Upon hire you must have:
    • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Upon 30 days of hire you must have:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Primary Care expereince preferred
  • One of the following is required:
    • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required;
    • completion of a Medical Assistant credentialing test;
    • or practical nurse program education certificate
  • One of the following is required:
    • Certification or Registration as a medical assistant required through a recognized certification organization such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Assistant Certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP); National Healthcare Association (NHA) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
    • Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse License or Multi-State Licensed Practical Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

This position is regulary required to stand, frequently required to walk and push or pull, occassionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and smell and must frequently lift and/or move greater than 5lbs.
