CRH's Human Resources team is on the hunt for an upbeat, customer-focused professional to join our Human Resources department! As the HR Service Associate, you will have the opportunity to interact with HR customers (including CRH leaders, staff, candidates and visitors) in a capacity that often forms their first impression of CRH – so this position is critically important to supporting the success of the department and organization.

Primary duties include:

  • Rapid customer support service for all workforce inquiries and messages to the HR department, including managing multiple email accounts, phone lines, and texting software.
  • Administrative support for the HR department (15+ people), including time management (meetings, rotational schedules), asset management (ordering office supplies & equipment, room reservations/calendars, creation of employment contracts following specific templates) and financial management (accounts payable processes, department budget surveillance/reporting).
  • Facilitating basic HR support services including unemployment claims, data retrieval/submissions, verifications of employment, off-boarding assistance, etc.
  • Front-line customer support service for issues in multiple HR software/programs related to user access (password resets) and basic program navigation
  • Accessing and configuring various employment reports (MS Excel proficiency is required)

Position Requirements for Success:

HS diploma + 2 years' customer-service/call-center or Human Resources experience required

  • Career interest in expanding skills in the area of Human Resources/Organizational Development
  • Strong communication skills, specifically in verbal (via phone or face-to-face) situations, with a strong focus on clarifying facts, de-escalating emotional situations, and educating/empowering the customer to a higher level of self-sufficiency, when appropriate
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate a variety of web-based programs, and intermediate+ capabilities in Microsoft Office products, including Excel


  • Full Time (40 hours/week), Mon-Fri HR office hours (7:30am – 4:30 pm); this is an hourly/non-exempt position.
  • This HR Service Associate position has a base hourly value of $20.10. Candidates with work history experience directly related to the duties of this position can expect to have a higher salary that is commensurate with experience.
  • This position will be required to work onsite on the main CRH hospital campus (in the Lincoln Park building where Human Resources is located) for the first 6 months of employment, but may be eligible for occasional remote employment time upon successful completion of this orientation period.
