What you need to know about the position:

  • As an RN you are assigned to units based on your prior experience in caring for patients of similar acuity and needs.
  • Nursing assignment units and shifts are identified by needs of the organization. Our current needs are:
    • ICU Night shift (7pm-7:30am)
      • Caring for patients with vents, IV medicated drips, on CRRT and recovering from open-heart surgery 1-2 days post.
    • Cardiac or Medical/Surgical Step Down Unit Night shift (7pm-7:30am)
      • Caring for patients with post PCI/PVI recovery including sheath removal, post ICD and pacemaker care, Cardioversion. Handling of cardiac drips (no titration)
    • Medical/Surgical Step Down Unit Night shift (7pm-7:30am)
      • Caring for patients with respiratory failure with BiPAP, sepsis management, severe electrolyte inbalances, post-surgery management of thoracotomies, VATS, wedge resections, vascular procedures.
    • Medical Surgical or Surgical Recovery Night shift (7pm-7:30am)
      • Caring for patients recovering from orthopedic, GYN, bariatric or urological procedures, recovering from strokes, or being treated for other medical conditions.
  • Schedule requirements:
    • Required to work at least 24 hours per week, scheduled in 12-hour shifts
    • Required for an 8-week commitment, extensions may be available
    • Required to participate in weekend and holiday schedules
  • Our Staffing Reserve RNs are paid $90 per hour while also being eligible for Overtime, applicable shift differentials and Holiday/Sunday premium pay
  • You are an employee of CRH but not eligible for benefits

What is required for this position:

  • Upon hire you must have:
    • Associate of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
    • Indiana License or a Multi-State Compact License as a Registered Nurse
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Some RN units may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
  • We are seeking at least 3 years of RN experience on the specific type of unit you are being considered for.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, talking and listening and lifting or moving more than 50 lbs.
