ABOUT THIS POSITION:
Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Dietitian, the Room Service Servers and Call Center Operators instruct patients and patients’ guests on meal ordering system; assess the patient’s ability to utilize the meal order system; engage the support of other disciplines to most effectively serve meals; obtain meal orders from patients; transpose the orders to the meal processing and production system; and maintain records of meal delivery details, as needed. This position requires the employee to organize and manage work without direct supervision, adjusting priorities to areas requiring it. This position does not provide direct patient care.
Customers of this position: patients, visitors, family members.
Age range of customer: Infants to elderly
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
