Patient Resource Specialist

What you need to know about this position:

• Our Mental Health unit (housed on the Columbus Regional Health campus) is an 18-bed secure inpatient unit treating adults 18 and older who are experiencing acute mental illness.
• We provide an individualized program for the intensive treatment of mental disorders, which includes a plan of care specific to each patient's circumstance and goals of the treatment.
• As a Patient Resource Specialist, you will work under the supervision of the Mental Health Nurse Manager in assisting with safe and effective patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of Columbus Regional Health’s goals and objectives. Provides support for the Social Worker and utilization review, by connecting patient/family/community to resources to prepare for discharge.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $17.44. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• In this position, you would be scheduled to work 5–4-hour shifts (20 hours/week, considered part-time) with start/end times of both 9:00AM-1:00PM.

What is required for this position:

• Upon hire, you must have:
  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED).
• One (1) year of Healthcare experience preferred.

• The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. This position must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
