At Columbus Regional Health, we believe that nurses are the backbone of today’s complex healthcare environment. We like to think of our nurses as working the front lines of the battle for community health.

Because nurses are so vital to the health of our community, we strive to create the most rewarding environment possible for our nurses. We continually communicate with our nursing employees and challenge ourselves to create a workplace where you can expect to be heard, valued and supported.

At Columbus Regional Health, nurses have many opportunities and are always supported and empowered to follow their calling. CRH nurses enjoy:

  • Advancement opportunities in career and education
  • Defined pathways for personal and professional growth
  • Professional development and leadership skills

While our nurses come from various backgrounds and have unique interests and specialties, we are all united by one goal; providing compassionate, expert care to the patients we care for.

As a nurse at Columbus Regional Health, you will devote a lot of your time and energy to educating patients, whether that means helping them understand a treatment or procedure, explaining how to properly take their medications, the importance of proper hygiene, or how to communicate with healthcare representatives.

Simulation Lab / Growth and Development

Columbus Regional Health is committed to providing a nursing environment that promotes collaboration, efficiency and continuous learning and improvement. From preceptor nurses who help new nurses learn their roles, to continuing education classes, to our renowned Simulation Lab, CRH is committed to the continual growth and development of our nurses.

We recognize that we all learn in different ways. Because of that, we offer professional development in numerous formats.

Our Simulation Lab provides the perfect hands-on classroom for our nurses to learn and practice.

From seemingly simple skills like communicating with patients to rapid response to codes, and even an entire heart surgery, our Simulation Lab gives our nurses an opportunity to practice skills in a simulated and safe environment. After each simulation experience, we debrief and talk about what went well and what could have gone better.

In addition to clinical development, our nurse managers work effortlessly to ensure that our nurses feel fulfilled in their careers. Every month, nurse managers meet with nurses to discuss learning opportunities and to talk about professional development.

“We put a great deal of effort into our nursing culture,” said Daniel Noel, CRH Director of Clinical Talent. “We help our nurses see the opportunities available and we help them take the steps they need to move forward in their careers.”
