What you need to know about this position:
- Our Wound Center is an advanced outpatient facility that offers the latest in wound care technology and care.
- Our team of physicians and nursing staff work on individualized care plans for patients with chronic wounds, see approximately 40–60 patients daily.
- The Wound Center Coordinator provides a variety of functions that are key to the smooth operation of the center, including registering and scheduling patients while collecting pertinent information, coding diagnosis using ICD-10/CPT, ensuring scheduling procedures are applied and generally facilitating patient flow, whether in person or via other communication methods.
- Located at the Wound Center in Columbus, the employee will be working directly with patients, providers & peers, and others through in-person, phone and other non-verbal communication channels.
- This hourly position will have a general schedule that follows the Wound Center schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
- This position has a starting base rate of $17.44 per hour. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
What is required for this position:
- High School diploma or General Education diploma (GED) required.
- Prior health care experience/medical knowledge needed.
- The preferred candidate would have an Associated Degree in business, at least 2 years of experience with insurance verification/authorizations and medical coding experience.
