Lead Medical Assistant

What you need to know about this position:

• Neurology and Sleep Sciences is a specialty care office located in Nexus Park, with 5 providers, 12 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms seeing an average of 60–75 patients per day.
• The Lead MA provides clinical leadership and support to providers and the practice in general, as well as providing direct patient care when the schedule requires it.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $18.74. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This full-time position would require you to work 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.

What is required for this position:

• One of the following is required:
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Medical Assisting, Nursing or Practical Nursing Program
  • Two years related experience and/or training in a physician office setting
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Leadership experience is preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certification or Registration as a medical assistant through a recognized certification organization such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Assistant Certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (C AAHEP); National Healthcare Association (NHA), Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required within 90 days of hire.
