What you need to know about this position:
- Broad Imaging Services Department, which performs an average of 80,000 exams per year and offering CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Ultra Sound, Nuclear Medicine and all digital X-Ray.
- Our imaging Services Department supports Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Departments.
- The Lead CT Technologist provides health care services within modality's Scope of Practice. Must be actively working in Modality.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
- Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient's condition, essential for successful completion of the procedure.
- The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for efficient operation of all equipment and day-to-day workflow while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- This position will assist in the planning, direction, coordination of the modality and assist the Radiology Manager in developing and implementing departmental objectives.
- The Lead CT Technologist maintains and recommends adequate staffing in conjunction with department leadership.
- Promotes growth in the modality by encouraging cross-training, new responsibilities, new techniques, etc.
- Maintains positive relationships with team members and role models the Standards of Service.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $34.70. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This full-time position will require you to work 40 hours a week, 8:00am-6:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with a holiday and on-call rotation.
What is required for this position:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or hospital based school or Radiologic Technology required. Any and all must be approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Three years' experience required.
- Become an active member of AHRA within 1 year of accepting the position.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Current active registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
- Computer Tomography (CT) Advanced Certification Registration through American Registry of Radiology Technologists (AART) registration required.
- Current X-ray Machine Operators license issued by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau required. The required CE credits must be maintained in accordance with the accrediting bodies requirements.
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography, or equivalent required.
- Possess valid state credentials.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Physical Demands
This position is frequently required to walk and push or pull, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crawl, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
